Shahin Diniyev dissatisfied with Samir Aliyevâ€™s performance

â€œThe return of Emin Guliyev and Samir Aliyev to the national squad is not the result of cold war with the footballers who were not included in the team. I had no war with the players. Team members are to obey the head coachâ€, Azerbaijan national team head coach Shahin Diniyev told APA-Sport.
Diniyev said he didnâ€™t exchange views with Guliyev and Aliyev on their selection.
â€œI talked to neither Emin and Samir nor other players I picked. Emin is able to play both in defence and midfield. As Ernani Pereyra and Sasha Yunisoglu are injured, we have some problem in defence and central line. FC Baku footballer Andre Ladaga didnâ€™t perform satisfactory after a break because of red card. His absence caused gap in central line. Besides, Jeyhun Sultanov has to miss the match against Poland. I havenâ€™t chosen the player for his position yet. FC Khazar-Lankaran player Emin Guliyev performs in the same positionâ€, he said.
The trainer noted that Aliyevâ€™s successful performance in second rotation of the championship played important role in his selection.
â€œI thought over Samir for many times before. There were times when I was not satisfied with his performance in five matches. But he played very well in the match between Neftchi and Baku. I pick only worthy players to the national squad. It is up to them to accept or refuse. I think no player would refuse such an opportunityâ€, he said. /APA-Sport/
