Fuad Esedov: Licensing granted by rules

“Imishli’s MKT-Araz hasn’t implemented requirements of Licensing Rules section A article F-1.04 related to tax commitments. The documents presented to the federation show that the club owes AZN 450.000 to tax bodies. That’s why MKT-Araz cannot receive license”, stated AFFA secretary general Fuad Esedov, APA-Sport reports.
Esedov noted MKT-Araz was in debt last year when he participated in Intertoto cup.
“The club owed AZN 200.000 that time. But there are alternatives in Licensing rules. The club may receive license if it signed an agreement with tax bodies on paying off in a period. MKT-Araz got the license last year after the agreement. But the documents show that the club violated the agreement and even has more debt. I discussed the issue with club vice-president Evez Agayev. I told him that the club may pay the debt between 4 and 14 May and appeal to the Appeals Committee in order to be granted license. But the club did nothing on the issue”, he said.
Esedov noted that Olimpik didn’t present financial report to the Committee for Licensing and Turan didn’t even apply for license. Secretary General stressed the clubs don’t approach the issue seriously.
“Some clubs don’t consider the issue as important. The UEFA controls over the licensing very carefully. Committee members and I met with club representatives several times and noted that it is very serious issue. Licensing procedure is carried out by its own rules and if the clubs pay no heed to the issue, they should know that they will not be allowed to Euro Cups”, he underscored. /APA-Sport/
