The cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Bank continues successfully as a reliable partner, Stefanie Stallmeister, the World Bank Group’s country manager, at the signing ceremony of the credit agreement between the Government of Azerbaijan and the World Bank for the “Project on Expanding the Use of Renewable Energy Sources in Azerbaijan,” APA-Economics reports.
She noted that once “Project on Expanding the Use of Renewable Energy Sources in Azerbaijan" between the Government of Azerbaijan and the World Bank is implemented, Azerbaijan will be able to integrate 1.8 gigawatts of electricity into the grid.
"Afterwards, we are confident that by supporting projects aligned with Azerbaijan's socio-economic development priorities, the country will make significant contributions to the sustainable and inclusive development," she said.
