Volume of e-commerce sharply increases in Azerbaijan

In May of this year, payment amounted to AZN 394 mln has been carried out by the Azerbaijani population via bank cards in electronic commerce network, which is 3,7% more in comparison to April, according to the calculations of APA-Economics based on information of Azerbaijani Central Bank.

This indicator increased by 44,9% in comparison to May of the previous year.

The amount of payments carried out in e-commerce constituted the main share of general cash payments carried out with bank cards- 52,2%. It is 0,4 percentage point more comparing with April.
