The total amount of foreign investments in the form of direct investments attracted to Azerbaijan in the first quarter of this year amounted to $ 1,401 billion. This is 17,9% more compared to the same period of the previous year, APA-Economics reports citing information of Central Bank.
USD 1 249,6 mln of directed investments have been directed to the oil-gas sector. This makes up 89,2% of the total investments.
Note that 951,1 mln dollars of direct investment has been directed to the oil-gas sector in Azerbaijan at the same term of 2020, and this makes up 80% of the total investments.
So, the volume of the direct investments attracted to the oil-gas sector in the first term of this year has increased by 31,4%, and the share of the oil-gas direct investments in the total direct investments has increased by 9,2 percentage point.
