In the first quarter of 2024, the direct investment of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the economy of Azerbaijan amounted to USD 190 million 686 thousand, APA-Economics reports citing Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
The volume of this indicator is 3.5 times or USD 136 million 343 thousand more than the corresponding period of last year. In the first quarter of 2023, the investment of the UAE in the economy of Azerbaijan amounted to USD 54 million 343 thousand.
Recall that in the first quarter of 2024, direct investment from Azerbaijan to the economy of the UAE amounted to USD 65 million 787 thousand, which is 3 times more compared to the first quarter of 2023.
Noted that in the first quarter of 2024, the volume of foreign direct investments attracted to the economy of Azerbaijan amounted to USD 1 billion 508 million, and the volume of direct investments directed from Azerbaijan to the foreign economy amounted to USD 330 million 451 thousand.
