By the end of 2026, state budget revenues are expected to amount to AZN 39,365.0 million, which is AZN 756.0 million, or 2.0%, more than the approved forecast, the Ministry of Finance told APA-Economics.
The oil and gas sector will account for 43.4%, or AZN 17,085.0 million, of state budget revenues, while the non-oil and gas sector will account for 56.6%, or AZN 22,280.0 million.
Compared with the approved indicators, revenues from the oil and gas sector are expected to exceed the target by AZN 650.0 million, or 4.0%, while revenues from the non-oil and gas sector are expected to exceed the target by AZN 106.0 million, or 0.5%.
Of the expected state budget revenues, AZN 17,760.0 million, or 45.1%, will come from tax and duty receipts, AZN 6,762.0 million, or 17.2%, from customs duties and tax receipts on imports, AZN 12,835.0 million, or 32.6%, from transfers from the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan, AZN 1,021.0 million, or 2.6%, from extra-budgetary revenues of budget organizations, and AZN 987.0 million, or 2.5%, from other revenues.
In addition, tax and duty receipts are expected to amount to AZN 17,760.0 million, which is AZN 850.0 million, or 5.0%, more than the approved indicator for the current year. Of this amount, AZN 4,250.0 million, or 23.9%, will come from the oil and gas sector, while AZN 13,510.0 million, or 76.1%, will come from the non-oil and gas sector.
Of the expected tax revenues from the oil and gas sector, 41.2%, or AZN 1,750.0 million, will consist of taxes paid by the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 11.8%, or AZN 500.0 million, will consist of profit tax paid by contractor organizations operating under production sharing agreements for the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli project, and 47.1%, or AZN 2,000.0 million, will consist of profit tax paid by contractor organizations operating under production sharing agreements for the Shah Deniz project.
When calculating the expected revenues of the 2026 state budget, the average selling price of 1,000 cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas across all destinations was increased by USD 35 and set at USD 296.0. Due to the price increase, profit tax revenues from contractor organizations operating under production sharing agreements for the Shah Deniz project are expected to increase by AZN 400.0 million, or 25.0%.
In the 2026 state budget, revenues from the non-oil and gas sector through the tax authorities are expected to amount to AZN 13,510.0 million, which is AZN 200.0 million, or 1.5%, more than the approved indicator for the current year.
