In January-November of 2023, banks in Azerbaijan received AZN 2 billion 267.4 million through fast money transfer systems, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan told APA-Economics.
The amount of funds sent from Azerbaijan’s banks abroad was equal to AZN 564.8 million. Compared to January-November of last year, the amount of funds received by banks through the fast money transfer system decreased by 58% or AZN 3 billion 131.4, and the transfer from banks abroad decreased by 38.2% or AZN 349.7 million.
Note that during 11 months of the previous year through fast money transfer systems, Azerbaijani banks received AZN 5 billion 398.8. The amount of funds sent abroad from banks amounted to AZN 914.5 million.
