Fitch Solutions (FS), a company belonging to the Fitch Group, has lowered its forecast for oil prices, APA-Economics reports.
FS's oil and gas team has lowered its forecast for the price of Brent crude oil from $82 to $76 per barrel for 2025. It has also lowered its forecast for the price of Brent from $81 to $75 for 2026-2028. In other words, the forecast has been reduced by 7.3% or $6.
The company also set the average price of various types of oil produced by OPEC countries (OPEC basket) at $75 for 2025 and $74 for 2026-2028.
FS's previous forecast for the OPEC basket was $81 and $80, respectively. In other words, the forecast has been reduced by $6.
