The volume of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) asset portfolio in Azerbaijan increased by 2.1% or 22 million euros compared to the previous month and amounted to 1 billion 52 million euros. The number of implemented active projects increased from 32 to 33, EBRD told APA.
It was noted that 92% (964 million euros) of the portfolio is investments in sustainable infrastructure, 5% (54 million euros) are investments in industry, trade and agribusiness, and 3% (34 million euros) are investments in financial institutions. The volume of the bank's operational assets in the country increased by 12.8% and amounted to 754 million euros.
Thus, the EBRD has provided 4.040 billion euros to Azerbaijan within the framework of 195 projects to date. EUR 3.346 billion has been invested, of which 82.8% (EUR 3.346 billion) has already been absorbed by borrowers. The share of the private sector in total investments has increased to 37%.
