The creation of a Turkish-Russian bank is the subject of discussions between the departments in the search for ways to resolve problems with payment transfers that arose due to US sanctions pressure, APA-Economics reports citing Pravda.

Earlier, a source told RIA Novosti that a number of private banks in Türkiye have closed accounts of Russian firms, this is due to unprecedented pressure from the United States in connection with sanctions. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov noted that the Kremlin is aware of the situation, Moscow is in dialogue with Ankara. Erdogan will discuss the situation on the grain deal with Putin, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said

"The option of creating a Turkish-Russian bank is being discussed, and has been discussed before. This is one of the points. But so far there is no specifics around this issue," the source said.
