An Agreement was signed between Azerbaijan and the United Nations (UN) in the 13th session of the World Urban Forum in 2026 in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
The Agreement was signed on behalf of the Government of Azerbaijan by the Chairman of the State Committee of Urban Planning and Architecture, Anar Guliyev, and the Executive Director of the UN Settlement Program, Mrs. Maimunah Mohd Sharif.
Noted that according to the relevant decision of the UN adopted in 2001, this Forum, which is held every two years in one of the cities of the world with the most authoritative and large-scale participation in the field of urban planning, is the largest global platform to study rapid urbanization and its impact on the development of cities.
