The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) produced in Azerbaijan in January 2024 amounted to AZN 9131 billion. This figure is 5% more in comparison with the previous year, APA-Economics reports citing the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.
It was noted that the value added in the oil and gas sector of the economy decreased by 2,6%, while it increased by 12,3% in the non-oil and gas sector.
41,9% of GDP production was industry, 10,5% in trade; vehicle repair, 7,0% in transport and warehousing, 5,8% in construction, 2,9% in agriculture, forestry, and fishing, 1,7% in tourist accommodation, and public catering, 1,8% in information and communication fields, 17,8% was other sectors, and net the taxes on products and imports made up 10,6% of GDP.
GDP per capita amounted to AZN 896,7.
