"Azerbaijan may issue the first "green" bonds," Chairman of the Management Board at the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) Ruslan Khalilov told reporters, APA reports.
"There are potential green bond candidate companies in Azerbaijan. These companies are primarily involved in the development of alternative energy sectors. We are actively engaging with these companies and working to ensure that they finance even a part of their alternative energy production projects through bond issuance. This would mean the issuance of Azerbaijan's first 'green' bonds," he stated.
