EBRD: No change to be made in strategy for Azerbaijan because of coronavirus

Despite of the economic crisis created by COVID-19 pandemic, the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) doesn’t plan to make changes in its strategy for Azerbaijan covering the period of 2019-2024, said Ivana Duarte, head of Baku office of the EBRD during her speech at the online conference entitled as “Post-pandemic: support for resumption of activity of SMB-es”, "APA-Economics" reports.

The EBRD representative said the bank has responded quite quickly to the difficult economic situation created by the pandemic, and the EBRD’s financial aid packages amounting to $ 1 and 3 bln. serve as a proof for such response.
