Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. The foreign investment in Azerbaijan’s economy made $ 2,359.3 bln, in the first quarter of 2012, up 39.9% compared to a year ago.
State Statistical Committee says that 45.1% ($ 1,064.3 mln) of capital came as direct investment, 22.7% ($ 535.6 mln) - as financial credits and 32.1% - as portfolio and other investments.
Investment in non-oil sector made $ 193.5 mln.
