Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. The World Bank conducts the evaluation of the strategy, realized in Azerbaijan within the last 2 years, said newly appointed WB’s regional manager on South Caucasus Henry Kerali, APA reports.
To him, according to bank’s policy, every 2 years, the WB conducts evaluation of its activity in each country: ‘The mentioned evaluation will be finished in the coming months and the Bank will start talks with Azerbaijani Government on preparation of new strategy. WB’s new strategy on Azerbaijan will cover 2013-2014’.
As to WB’s activity in Azerbaijan in future, Kerali noted that the bank would mainly focus on the ongoing and successful spheres: ‘In the coming years, we will pay special attention to agriculture, improvement of living conditions of internally displaced persons, household waste management, health, transport, as well as the development of railway’.
