Operations worth AZN 4.6 bln conducted via ATMs in Azerbaijan during January-September

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. As of the end of September, 2011, 2,056 services via ATMs and 12,204 via POS-terminals were rendered to plastic card holders in Azerbaijan. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan says within 9 months of current year, 34.68 operations worth AZN 4,643 mln were conducted via ATMs.

At the same time, the number of operations conducted via POS-terminals was 1,256 thousand, the volume made AZN 283 mln.

In comparison with the last year, the number of bank cards in Azerbaijan increased by 228 thousand and reached 4.5 mln. During the period, 20.1 thousand operations worth AZN 23.2 mln were realized via the system â€“ Internet-Banking.
