The consultations covered a wide range of pressing issues in multilateral economic diplomacy, including cooperation within the G20, the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), and the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Coordination within the G20 was discussed in the context of preparations for the Ministerial Council meeting scheduled for October 30–31 in Atlanta and the summit to be held on December 14–15 in Miami.
It was emphasized that the G20 should remain a leading platform for equal dialogue among major powers on global challenges, operate in accordance with its economic mandate, and be based on consensus.
The parties reaffirmed that any decisions concerning changes to G20 membership should be made exclusively by consensus, taking into account the objective of strengthening the voice of countries of the Global South and East.
The importance of strengthening the independent identity of the Black Sea region and opposing confrontational initiatives and the European Union's unilateral neocolonialist approaches was emphasized.
The deputy ministers agreed to continue dialogue and practical cooperation within the BSEC, the region's only universal socioeconomic platform, to promote its progressive economic development.
The deputy ministers also agreed to maintain close cooperation in multilateral economic forums.
