Prague hosts next meeting of Azerbaijan-Czech Intergovernmental Commission

Baku. Victoria Dementeva – APA-Economics. On November 14, next meeting of Azerbaijan-Czech Intergovernmental Commission was held in Prague, Czech, Azerbaijani Ambassador in Czech Tahir Tagizadeh told APA.

According to him, along with co-chairmen of commission – Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Economic Development Niyazi Safarov and Czech Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Milan Govorka, representatives of both countries’ state bodies, as well Ministries of Transport, Culture, Communication and IT, State Marine Administration, Deputy Minister of Azerbaijani Ministry of Agriculture Aslan Aslanov, Deputy Chairman of State Committee of Urban Planning and Architecture Dovletkhan Dovletkhanov attended the meeting.

According to outcomes of the meeting, a protocol was signed between to countries on development of cooperation in economic, trade and science spheres. Next meeting of the commission is decided to hold at the end of summer and beginning of autumn, next year.

After meeting of Intergovernmental Commission a presentation was held on investment opportunities in Azerbaijan.

Niyazi Safarov has held several bilateral meetings within the visit. He met with Deputy Minister of Czech Foreign Minister Tomash Dub, President of Commerce-Economic Chamber on CIS countries Vatslav Petshichek and executive director Frantish Masonus. Simplifying of visa regime between two countries, strengthening of trade-economic relations, development of cooperation in energy sector and other issues were discussed at the meeting.
