According to report of the Center, the food products went up 0.52%, non-food products – 0.61% and services – 0.22%, during the same period.

The prices in Baku rose 0.84%, in regions – 0.12%. As well, food products rose 0.98% in Baku, 0.06% - in regions, including non-food products – 0.92% and 0.30%, services – 0.38% and 0.07%.

In comparison to a previous year, 14.42%-increase was observed in the country. The prices in Baku soared 18.51% in Baku, 10.40% - in regions. The highest inflation was observed in food products (23.48%). Inflation was 4.43% in non-food products, 4.75% - in services.

Consumer prices surged 9.05%, as well food products – 13.85%, non-food products – 3.16%, services – 4.30% in January-October, 2011.

ERC experts also calculated the cost of the minimum consumer basket on October on the basis of standards confirmed under the decision passed on April 30, 2009, by the Cabinet of Ministers and prices recorded in 10 regions. According to those calculations, the cost of the minimum consumer basket per head for able-bodied population in Azerbaijan made AZN 167.06, for pensioners – AZN 150.96, 0-14 aged children – AZN 209.89.

Last month, able-bodied population spent AZN 103.34 for per head food, pensioners – AZN 93.82, parents of 0-14 aged children – AZN 119.42.

The minimal cost for non-food products accounted for the workforce AZN 38.40, for pensioners - AZN 34.70, for children aged 0-14 years – AZN 72.80, expenses for services – AZN 25.32, 22.44 and 17 56, respectively.

Note that, the cost of living in Azerbaijan for 2011 is set at AZN 95, for working-age population – AZN 102, for pensioners – AZN 72, for children – AZN 76.
