IBAâ€™s plastic cards reach 1.8 mln

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. Total operations consumed via plastic cards of International Bank of Azerbaijan were amounted as AZN 2.7 bln in 2010, up 1.5% compared to a year ago.

IBA says the number of plastic cards was 28 000 and the volume of operations on cards made AZN 71 mln, in 2002. Bank says more than 223 000 plastic cards have been issued by bank during 2010. Current active plastic cards of International Bank of Azerbaijan are near 1.8 mln.

Note that, IBAâ€™s 605 ATMs are located in more than 20 cities and regions in the country, including Baku, Nakhchevan, Sumgayit, Ganja, Shirvan and Mingechaur.

At the same time, IBA develops acquiring network. Thus, more than 2 500 trade and service points were involved to services via bank cards.

Remind that, IBA has been in existence since 1992.
