Kapital Bank sees 42% rise in assets

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev – APA-Economics. As of January 1, 2011, Azerbaijan-based Kapital Bank’s assets stood at AZN 781.936 mln, up 42% compared to a year ago.

Bank says loan portfolio rose 54% to AZN 508.341 mln, including loan given for until 12 months rose 13% to AZN 263.899 mln, loan given for over 12 months soared 2.5 times to AZN 244.442 mln. Mortgage loan increased by 3% to AZN 18.551 mln, including loans given through AMF advanced 82.3% to AZN 11.642 mln.

Deposit portfolio climbed 16% to AZN 291.196 mln, including population’s deposit gained 13% to AZN 204.234 mln, term deposit rose 54.2% to AZN 117.734 mln.

Total capital ended up 7.9% to AZN 69.973 mln, including authorized capital surged 25% to AZN 30 mln.

Income made AZN 74.747 mln, up 15% from year earlier, including interest income rose 11% to AZN 36.488 mln, non-interest income increased by 19.4% to AZN 38.259 mln. At the same time, expenditure climbed 19.3% to AZN 71.845 mln, including interest expenditure surged 9.4% to AZN 16.884 mln, non-interest expenditure soared 35.2% to AZN 34.460 mln. Profit slipped 39.3% to AZN 2.902 mln.

Kapital Bank has been in operation since 2000. The bank operates 89 branches, 388 ATMs and 418 POS-terminals across the country.
