Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of January 1, 2010 the national currency (manat) monetary base stood AZN 6 397.1 million, up 31.6% or AZN 1 536.1 million compared to January, 2009, said the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
The monetary base increased by 14.1% or AZN 791.6 mln in December, 2010.
The monetary base includes currency in circulation and reserves which commercial banks hold in their accounts with the central bank.
