The acceptance of documents for the Hajj pilgrimage will continue until the quota is filled. This is expected to be around January, Vusal Jahangiri, Head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO) and Head of the Hajj Electronic System, said in response to APA's inquiry.
He stated that 15% of the quota allocated for the Hajj pilgrimage has been filled.
"Initially, the CMO set the price of the pilgrimage package at $6,100 per person, as in the previous year. However, as we previously stated, the amount may increase slightly," Vusal Jahangiri said.
Recall that the following documents are required for the Hajj pilgrimage: an international passport (with at least one year of validity remaining), a copy of an identity card, two 5 cm × 5 cm color photographs taken against a white background (women must wear a dark hijab), and a medical certificate.
Documents are accepted on working days from 10:00 to 16:00 at the administrative building of the Caucasus Muslims Office, located at 7 Mirza Fatali Street, Baku.
Note that the acceptance of documents for the Hajj pilgrimage began on September 24 this year.
