Azerbaijan sees 26% rise in negative balance on service

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan’s mutual services in economic relations with foreign countries made $ 4 151.4 mln in January-September, 2010. CBA says $ 2 651.7 mln of this was conducted by non-residents to Azeri residents and $ 1 499.7 mln was conducted by AZeri residents to foreign residents.

Thus, the balance of services made - $ 1 152 mln, up 25.6% compared to a year ago.

25.7% of mutual services turnover was conducted on transport services. 55.7% of transport services was related to Azeri residents’ using the transport systems of foreign
countries. Total amount of transport services conducted by Azeri residents made % 471.7 mln.

Services on tourism conducted to foreign residents made $ 435.8 mln. 35.6% of this is related to non-residents’ visits to Azerbaijan. In turn, services on tourism conducted by foreign residents to Azeri residents made $ 496.7 mln. As teh result, negative balance made $ 60.9 mln.
