Chinese company to explore opportunities to participate in Green Energy Corridor

As part of the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe Green Energy Corridor Forum, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov met with a delegation led by Zhao Yonglin, Chairman of the Board of China Datang Overseas Investment Co., Ltd., the Ministry of Energy told APA-Economics.

During the meeting, the implementation status of a 100 MW solar power plant project in Azerbaijan, as well as opportunities to establish a 200 MW offshore wind power plant at the initial stage, were discussed.

The opportunities created by the Green Energy Corridor for expanding renewable energy production and exports in Azerbaijan were highlighted. The company expressed its readiness to advance work on solar and offshore wind energy projects, as well as to explore opportunities to participate in the Green Energy Corridor.

The meeting also considered continuing cooperation in personnel training and the exchange of technical expertise in the energy sector.
