Five young Azerbaijanis, who had been detained in a clash during parliamentary voting in Georgia’s Marneuli district on October 2, 2016, were released in the courtroom, the detainees’ relatives told APA’s Georgia bureau on December 30.
The youngsters were fined 5,000 GEL (Georgian Lari) under the Article 206 of Georgia’s Criminal Code. They have to pay the fine within a month.
On October 2, 2016, a clash took place during the voting at the polling station â„–48 in Gizilhajili village of Marneuli district, leaving a few police officers injured. Six young Azerbaijanis were detained as suspects. After a while, one of them was released.
