Deputy Chairman of Turkey’s National Movement Party (MHP) Atilla Kaya has resigned after MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli announced his decision to vote for the constitutional amendments on switching to a presidential system, Hurriyet reported.
Kaya, who was known for his close ties with Bahçeli, said he decided to resign because he could not act like a hypocrite.
From now on, the MP will be a regular member of the party.
