Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov addressed the people of Belarus, APA reports.
The Ukrainian minister said that according to confirmed information, the command of the Russian armed forces is preparing some provocations. Russian aircraft are preparing to strike several settlements near the Ukrainian-Belarusian border in the Republic of Belarus. They plan to hit the settlement of Kopani (Stol district of Brest region) in particular. Russia intends to strike Belarus from Ukrainian airspace. The goal is to force the current Belarusian leadership to go to war against Ukraine.
"I guarantee that the Ukrainian army has not planned, does not plan and will not plan any aggression against Belarus. In the 15-day war, the Ukrainian armed forces killed more than 12,000 Russian soldiers. Do not let your country be dragged into this war! Save the lives of your loved ones! Do not allow it," the minister said.
The Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security of Ukraine said that this step has already been agreed between Moscow and Minsk. "According to preliminary information, the Belarusian army will join the war against Ukraine from March 11 at 21:00," the center said.
