Sergey Lavrov and Hakan Fidan have discussed the situation in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf, APA’s Moscow bureau reports, citing the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting held within the framework of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, the ministers emphasized that Russia and Türkiye are striving for more constructive cooperation in order to develop effective solutions to the crisis.
“During the bilateral meeting with Hakan Fidan held within the framework of the event, key aspects of the international and regional agenda, including the situation in the Persian Gulf and the Middle East, were discussed in detail. Russia and Türkiye reaffirmed their mutual commitment to more constructive cooperation in order to develop effective solutions to the crisis. The ministers discussed current political issues in the Russia–Türkiye dialogue, as well as key objectives of trade, economic and energy cooperation. A schedule for future contacts was agreed,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
