At least five people were injured in a collision of two trains at Aviemore Railway Station in the Cairngorms in northern Scotland, the local authorities reported on Friday, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Two injured people were taken to Raigmore Hospital while three were assisted at the site of the incident, according to the preliminary information from the police. A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) stated that eight fire engines were dispatched to the location, and firefighters collaborated with other agencies to provide assistance.
One of the trains involved in the accident that happened at 7:10 (local time) was the Flying Scotsman (pictured) which operates between Edinburgh and London.
