Units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine have received mine clearance equipment from Japan, including special vehicles and mine detectors, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko said, APA reports citing Ukrainska Pravda.
The aid package includes 40 special vehicles, 50 hand-held mine detectors, as well as containers and fire extinguishing liquid.
Klymenko said that this equipment will speed up the humanitarian mine clearance process and make it safer for bomb disposal experts.
"I am grateful to Matsuda Kuninori, Japan’s Ambassador to Ukraine, the Japanese Government and the people of Japan for their continued support of Ukraine," said Klymenko.
