The United States Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) imposed new Iran-related sanctions on Wednesday, targeting individuals and entities as Washington continued to tighten restrictions on the Iranian economy, APA reports.
The new measures target Panamanian citizens, as well as companies based in Singapore and Panama. At the same time, the US Treasury Department said it issued a general license authorizing the wind-down of transactions and activities involving the Karnakis and Karnakis.
The previous batch of Iran-related sanctions was issued last week.
