Azerbaijan contributes to the implementation of the UN global agenda, Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev said during his speech at an event dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the establishment of the UN and the ratification of the UN Charter, APA reports.
"We continue to align with the UN's global agenda, from promoting the Sustainable Development Goals to advancing digital innovation, empowering women and youth, as well as contributing to humanitarian efforts and mine action," the Deputy Minister said.
Rafiyev noted that Azerbaijan views the UN as the cornerstone of multilateral diplomacy and is proud to be an active and responsible member of the organization.
"Azerbaijan has always believed that true progress is rooted in tolerance and connections between people. For us, promoting intercultural and interreligious dialogue is not merely foreign policy, but a way of life deeply rooted in our cultural fabric," the Deputy Minister emphasized.
He also thanked the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan for its contributions to cooperation and strengthening the partnership.
