To date, 1.4 million tons of oil have been produced from the Azeri-Central-Eastern (ACE) platform located in the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) oil and gas field block, APA-Economics reports, citing the Ministry of Energy.
According to the information, 228 million cubic meters of gas have been produced within the framework of the ACE project so far.
It is noted that the final investment decision on the Azeri-Central-Eastern (ACE) project was made in 2019. The first oil was produced from ACE in 2024.
It should be noted that on September 20, 1994, an agreement on the joint development of ACG and the sharing of oil production was signed. On September 14, 2017, the agreement on the sharing of heft production on ACG was amended, redrafted and signed.
The share distribution in ACG is as follows: BP – 30.37% (operator), AzACG (SOCAR) – 31.65%, MOL – 9.57%, Inpex – 9.31%, ExxonMobil – 6.79%, TPAO – 5.73%, Itochu – 3.65% and ONGC Videsh Ltd. (OVL) – 2.92%.
