In 2022, the size of the green economy sector was approximately USD 1.5 trillion, and it is projected that this figure will increase to over USD 4 trillion by 2030, said Huseyn Huseynov, the head of the department at the Ministry of Economy, during a conference themed "The Impact of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence on Employment, APA-Economics reports.
He noted that, based on data from the International Energy Agency, the clean energy market is expected to reach USD 1.5 trillion by 2025:
"At the same time, with the application of artificial intelligence technologies, it is expected that by 2025, the process of monitoring carbon emissions will be 50% faster and more accurate. We cannot afford to fall behind on these tendencies. Strategic documents are in place, and strategic directions have been identified," he added.
