On May 20, 2025, at around 12:00 PM, an incident occurred at the Ethylene-Polyethylene Plant of the “Azerikimya” Production Union, in the synthesis area of the production facility, while maintenance work was being carried out in accordance with regulations on the low-pressure separator of the B technological line, SOCAR said in response to APA's inquiry.
According to the information, 5 people were injured as a result of the incident. Two of them received outpatient treatment and were discharged, while three others were hospitalized.
“The cause of the incident is under investigation,” the statement noted.
