The Russian "Inter RAO" energy company (the only operator of the export-import of electricity in the Russian Federation) reduced the export of electricity by 33.5% to 5.546 billion kWh in January-September 2024, APA-Economics reports TASS.
During the reporting period, the company's electricity import to Russia increased by 12.7% and reached 1.603 billion kWh.
Noted that during the reporting period, there was an increase in the volume of export deliveries to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and some other destinations. The decrease in supply to China is due to restrictions in the Far East energy system.
It is reported that the increase in imports was mainly due to electricity flows from Kazakhstan, Georgia and Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that "Inter RAO" is a company that manages assets in the Russian Federation, as well as in Europe and the CIS.
