According to operational data for January–April 2025, 9.1 million tons of oil (including condensate) were produced in the country during the 4-month period, the Ministry of Energy told APA-Economics.

Of this volume, 5.3 million tons were produced from the “Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli” (ACG) block, 1.3 million tons (condensate) from the “Shah Deniz” field, and 0.2 million tons (condensate) from the “Absheron” field. SOCAR’s oil (including condensate) production amounted to 2.3 million tons.

1.8 million tons of oil were refined over the 4-month period, which is 18.2% less compared to the same period last year.

It was also noted that during this period, 7.8 million tons of oil (including condensate) were exported. Of this, 6.6 million tons came from the consortiums, 1 million tons from SOCAR, and 0.2 million tons from the “Absheron” field.

In April of this year, the daily production of oil (including condensate) was 75.1 thousand tons (566 thousand barrels), including 61.6 thousand tons (455 thousand barrels) of crude oil and 13.5 thousand tons (111 thousand barrels) of condensate.

Note that in Azerbaijan, oil is refined at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery, which was established in 1953. The refinery fully meets the country's demand for oil products. Currently, reconstruction and modernization works are being carried out at the refinery.
