Following the historic agreement reached on August 8 between President Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and President Donald Trump—specifically, after the signing of a preliminary peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia and a document on the establishment of transport links, including the Zangezur Corridor—a new phase is beginning for the economic capitalization of the entire South Caucasus and Central Asia region, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov said during his speech at the Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, APA-Economics reports.
“In this region, Azerbaijan is naturally not only a geographical hub but also, as the Deputy Prime Minister mentioned, a central junction in terms of logistics, energy, and many other areas. I believe it is essential to view the value proposition for both the region and Azerbaijan precisely in this context,” the minister added.
