The Energy Efficiency Information System will be established in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
This is reflected in the proposed amendment to the law "On efficient use of energy resources and energy efficiency", which was discussed at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology.
According to the draft, the energy efficiency information system of the body (organization) determined by the relevant executive authority will ensure state control in the field of efficient use of energy resources and energy efficiency, maintaining a register of energy auditors and energy audit organizations and controlling their activities, providing information and raising awareness, assessing efficiency potential, organizing energy efficiency passporting of buildings, as well as posting a list of economic entities and non-residential buildings subject to mandatory energy audits, a list of energy efficiency service providers, and a report on the current status and development of energy efficiency services.
The draft law was put to a vote and adopted in the third reading.
