Currently, by the decision of the Tariff Council, a tariff of 30 gapiks per 1 square meter has been set for heat supply, Vagif Tagiyev, Head of the Technical and Production Department of Azerenergy OJSC said at a public hearing on the new draft law "On Heat Supply" organized by the Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology Committee of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) today, APA reports.
Vagif Tagiyev said that according to the current tariffs, the wholesale sale of heat energy to "Azeristiliktachizat" OJSC is 3 manats: "There are also differences in the norms in the area of houses. There is a difference of up to triple between "Khrushchevkas" and new buildings. Depending on the amount of electricity, the cost of 1 month of heat energy is between 24-80 gapiks. But currently the tariff is set at 30 gapiks. Current tariffs are 4-13 times lower than the real price. Currently, both electricity and heat energy are social tariffs. Nagif Hamzayev asked a question about increasing tariffs. The tariff methodology should be applied in accordance with reality, and the real price mechanism should be reflected in the law."
It should be noted that MP Nagif Hamzayev asked the question, "Does Azeristiliktachizat aim to become a profitable organization by increasing tariffs or by applying a more innovative approach?"
