The “Caspian–Black Sea–Europe” Green Energy Corridor, which will be commissioned in phases from 2032, will allow Italy to benefit from the electricity to be transmitted to the European market, said Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov at the 6th meeting of the Azerbaijan–Italy Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, APA-Economics reports.
He noted that Italy’s CESI SpA company is currently participating as Azerbaijan’s advisory partner in the preparation of feasibility studies not only for this project but also for the “Central Asia–Azerbaijan” green energy corridor.
The minister emphasized that these initiatives serve to further deepen the strategic energy partnership between Azerbaijan and Italy.
