The advantage of doing business in Azerbaijan is that during the last 31 years of our operation under the production sharing agreement, no provision has been changed without the agreement of investors, said BP's Vice President for the Caspian Region Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli at the 1st Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, APA-Economics reports.
He said that all the obligations undertaken when signing the "Contract of the Century" in 1994 and the Shah Deniz production sharing agreement in 1996 have been fully fulfilled by the state.
"This is a truly desirable environment for every investor. It is on the basis of this investment-friendly environment and partnership relations that we are pleased to continue our activities in Azerbaijan, not only in the traditional oil and gas sector, but also in the fields of renewable energy and energy transition," Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli added.
