"Measures have been taken to ensure the sustainable operation of the system and network in case of any emergency situations during COP29," said Major Nijat Jahidzade, an officer of the Border Control of the State Border Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
He also noted that the employees of Border Control will carry out a quick document check, a formalization process of 45 seconds for foreign citizens coming to the event with a visa, and 30 seconds for local citizens.
Nijat Jahidzade also added that the Border Control Command has been equipped with special technical supplies and monitoring equipment to ensure that those arriving in Azerbaijan in connection witt COP29 preparations, can pass through passport control without delays.
