Last year, oil production in Azerbaijan averaged 75.9 thousand tons per day (571 thousand barrels), APA-Economics reports, citing operational information from the Ministry of Energy.

According to the information, in 2025, crude oil production averaged 62.4 thousand tons per day (460 thousand barrels), and condensate production averaged 13.5 thousand tons per day (111 thousand barrels).

Based on operational data for 2025, a total of 27.7 million tons of oil (including gas condensate) was produced in the country last year. Of this production, 16.2 million tons belonged to “Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli” (ACG), 3.8 million tons to “Shah Deniz,” 0.6 million tons to the “Absheron” field, and 7.1 million tons to SOCAR.

During the reporting period, 23.1 million tons of oil (including gas condensate) were exported. Of the exports, 20 million tons belonged to the consortia, 2.5 million tons to SOCAR, and 0.6 million tons to JOCAP (operator of the “Absheron” field – ed.).

It should be noted that, according to the agreement reached by the ministers of the “OPEC+” (an initiative on oil production cuts involving OPEC and non-member countries), Azerbaijan’s crude oil production quota is set at 551 thousand barrels per day until the end of 2026.

Thus, last year, Azerbaijan remained 91 thousand barrels below its quota under “OPEC+.”
