"Azeri Central East" (ACE), built in the "Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli" (ACG) oil and gas field block located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, will be the first remotely controlled and monitored platforms in the Caspian Sea and one of such platforms in the world, said Phil Gray, one of the managers of the Sangachal terminal, APA reports.
According to him, if currently the platforms are managed autonomously, the ACE platform will be managed from the center located in Sangachal.
Note that the ACE project is the next stage of development of the giant Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea. It is a $6 billion development project that includes a new offshore platform and facilities designed to process up to 100,000 barrels of oil per day. The project is expected to produce up to 300 million barrels over its lifetime.
