Azerbaijanâ€™s major cement maker predicts 30-50% rise in output in three years

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s major cement maker Garadagh Cement will produce around 1.3 million tons of cement this year, taking a market share of 35% in the domestic cement market, said the company in a press release.
The works are ongoing to build a new kiln at the plant that will increase the capacity of production to 1.7 million tons per year. The total cost of investment for the new kiln, together with the plantâ€™s modernization is around 300 millions EURO. This investment program will allow Garadagh Cement to continue to supply quality products and services to the construction sector of Azerbaijan at the highest environmental standards.
Gardagh Cement refuted information recently spread in the domestic media about the closure of the company.
The plant management officially declared that Garadagh Cement is continuing its work on its usual routine and without any breaks and that journalists’ assumption of the closure of the factory was based on the hearsay and fantasy and has no substantial ground.
