Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. Ukraine hopes to get 5-9 million tons of oil annually from Azerbaijan as part of the Euro-Asian Oil Corridor Project, Ukrainian media quoted Ukrainian President’s representative for energy issues Bogdan Sokolovsky as saying.
“There is oil, but it is necessary to enter into contracts and to choose its delivery route†he said.
He pointed to Odessa-Brody Pipeline, saying its reverse operation is an obstacle to Eura-Asian Oil Transport Corridor Project.
He expressed hope for he pipeline’s return to operation in its original design direction.
According to him, Ukraine’s annual demand for oil is 5-6 million tons.
